Trivandrum Kerala
Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram is the capital of Kerala and a perfect
leisure destination. The beautiful seaside city is surrounded by the

» Shree Padmanabhaswamy Temple :
The temple dedicated to lord Vishnu and the area around it are one of the

gopuram and a large pond is deeply revered by the Hindus.
» Kovalam :
One of the most picturesque beaches in India, Kovalam is situated at a
distance of 12 km from the city. A tourist resort has been built here
providing the tourists with luxury facilities while maintaining the
serenity of the place.

» Kuthiramalika Palace Museum :
At a short distance from the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the marvellous
structure was built by Maharajah Swathi Thirunal Balarama Varma. Besides
the invaluable paintings and other artefacts housed inside the museum, the
building with beautiful wooden carvings is itself a sight to behold.
» The Zoological Park :
Situated at a short distance from the city, it is one of the premier zoos
in India. The tall, huge and thick trees with wild bushes, shrubs and
grass and a lake strewn with wild fowls and ducks provide tourists with an
experience of a jungle in the middle of the city. A lot of different
varieties of snakes are also found here.
» Backwaters :
Trivandrum is also known for its backwaters existing along its long
shoreline and some of the most renowned beaches in the world. The main
backwater areas of Trivandrum are Thiruvallam and Veli. A boat ride along
these backwaters is a unique experience that will introduce you to the
hidden Kerala that exists on the shores of these backwaters.
